MODULE INTRO:
The purpose of the résumé is to pitch and reveal yourself to the employer, broadly showcasing your experience and expertise. The objective of your résumé is to land a call or interview with the employer. Do not worry about sharing everything, as you'll have your chance in person. Think of this document as a quick professional advertisement. Grab their attention and get them wanting more.
Design
- Top Third: The most important info is in the top third
- Ordering: Sections are prioritized, with experience first
- Reverse-Chronological: Most recent material is first
- Bullet Prioritization: Best bullets are first
- Single Page: Doc is just one page, longer if 10+ years
- Skimmability: Roles and companies stand out
- Bullet Shape: Bullets are not dashes or odd shapes
- Bullet Numbering: Quantity of bullets are consistent
- Bullet Quality: Bullets are not about quantity, but quality
- Basic Fonts: Typography is professional and consistent
- Limited Rich Text: Bolding, italics, etc. are used sparingly
- Coloring: If used, it is done so sparingly
- No Orphans Lines: No single words should be alone on their own line

- No Fluff: No irrelevant or excessive material
Education Section
- Graduation: Exclude graduation year, avoid bias
- Academic Emphasis: A concentration is included
- GPA: If included, it is above a +3.50
- Classes: If lack of work experience, courses are listed
- High School: Nothing listed, okay if in college
Focus & Skills Section
- Expertise: Relevant keywords are included
- Skills: Tools and software expertise is listed
- No Microsoft Word: Do not include the obvious
- Languages: Languages included are relevant
- Interests: If appropriate, ice-breaking passions are listed

- Intransitive Verbs: Each bullet begins with an action verb
- Strong Verbs: Each verb is powerful and aggressive
- Correct Tense: Past experiences in past tense, etc.
